The inner & outer valve contraption in this pump gives you the confidence that the pressure you put in your shock is the pressure you'll have after disconnecting your pump - it's ingenious! How else can you tell it's an awesome pump? Go to your LBS and borrow theirs - whether they sell specialized bikes or not - odds are this is the shock pump they use in their shops.
